NEWS! NEWS!! NEWS!!!

To all parents and guardians:

We are in the final month of school and this time is just as crucial as any other time of the year.  4th grade students will be taking the LEAP Test during the week of May 1st—5th.  5th & 6th graders will take their final portion of the LEAP test on Friday, May 5th when they take the Science portion.  Attendance these days is very important. Please ensure that your child is getting a good night’s rest every night during testing week.

This time of year is  extremely busy as end of year  activities are being planned along with teachers still planning and teaching meaningful lessons until the very last day of school.  Parents, please encourage your children to behave at this point of the school year.  Learning is still taking place.

Please join us for a fun afternoon during our Family Fun Day, also known as our Spring Bazaar on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 1:00—3:00 p.m.  There will be many games, foods, and other activities for students and parents to participate in.  Tickets for this event will go on sale beginning Monday, May 8, 2017.

We will host our last PTO meeting of the year on Thursday,  May 4th at 6:00 p.m.   We will be discussing concerns that you have as parents, Title I Needs  Assessment, and our Family Fun Day.

Since EFMS is a Title I school, we need for all parents to complete a Needs Assessment.  The results will be used in helping our leadership team to revise our School-Wide Plan for next school year.  The survey is online and will be available  up until May 25, 2017.  Please go to www.tpsd.org and click on the link for the parent survey.

End of the Year Report Cards will be mailed.  Students will be sent home with an address verification form during the first week of May.  Please sign and send back to school so that we can ensure all reports cards are sent to the correct address.

Educationally yours,

Ms. Markita E. Grant,

Principal
